How to Prepare Electronic Scrap for a Quote

A clear description helps start a useful electronic scrap quote. Before reaching out, gather a few practical details about the material and its location. You do not need to know an exact grade to ask a question.

Identify the material as specifically as you can, such as circuit boards, CPUs, RAM, telecom boards, or computer scrap. If a lot contains several types, list them separately and keep them in separate groups when practical. You can also note visible condition without trying to dismantle equipment.

Estimate the quantity using an approximate weight, count, or number of containers if available. Mention whether the material is loose, sorted, or still part of equipment. If you are unsure how to describe an item, say so rather than guessing.

Include the California city or county where the material is located and whether you are asking about pickup. Pickup availability and arrangements need confirmation. A request for information does not confirm a pickup date or purchase offer.

Equipment that may contain data should be identified as such. Ask about handling expectations before transferring it, and do not assume that a scrap purchase includes data removal or destruction.

Use the [quote form](/get-a-quote/) to share the details you have. For common selling questions, visit the [FAQs](/faqs/), and see the [pricing guide](/pricing/) for factors that can influence an evaluation.
