WHAT WE BUY / GOLD FINGER CARD BUYERS

SELL YOUR EXPANSION CARDS

Sell graphics, network, RAID and other gold finger cards in California. CBR buys expansion card lots and offers pickup, electronics recycling and ITAD services.

Gold Finger Cards

Circuit Board Recyclers buys expansion cards with gold-colored edge contacts, often called gold finger cards. These include graphics cards, network adapters, storage controllers and other add-in boards from computers and servers. If you are clearing out old equipment or sorting a parts inventory in California, send photos of the cards and we will help you get the lot ready for sale.

EXPANSION CARDS WE BUY

The row of flat contacts along a card’s edge connects it to a slot or another assembly. That feature appears on many different products, so the card’s purpose and condition matter alongside the contacts. Keep these main groups separate when practical:

  • Graphics cards: Gaming, office and workstation display cards, with cooling assemblies shown in the photos.
  • Network adapters: Ethernet cards and other network interface boards from PCs and servers.
  • Storage controllers: RAID cards, host bus adapters and related storage expansion cards.
  • Other expansion boards: Sound, capture, interface and specialty add-in cards.
  • Mixed or trimmed cards: Assorted older boards and cards already altered during scrap preparation.

IDENTIFY THE CARD BEFORE STRIPPING IT

NVIDIA GeForce RTX and AMD Radeon identify graphics product families. Intel Ethernet adapters identify networking products, while Broadcom MegaRAID cards are storage controllers. A brand or family name helps describe the group; the exact model, board label and condition help identify the individual card.

For graphics cards, photograph the model sticker and both sides of the assembly. For network cards, show the ports and the part number. For RAID cards and host bus adapters, include the main label and connector side. Keep related accessories with the card when you already have them, and mention any missing brackets or cooling parts.

FANS, HEATSINKS AND BRACKETS MATTER

A bare card, a card with a small bracket and a card covered by a large cooling assembly are different material groups. Attached metal and plastic affect the weight, while missing cooling parts may affect whether the product can be reused. Show the condition that exists instead of dismantling every card to make the lot look uniform.

Leave edge contacts attached for the first quote. Cutting them off turns one identifiable product into separate scrap materials and removes the possibility of reusing that card. If your contacts are already trimmed, keep those pieces separate from the remaining boards and photograph both groups. Our sorting guide explains how to organize mixed material without unnecessary work.

COMMON CLEANOUT AND UPGRADE PROJECTS

Graphics upgrades can leave a collection of older cards at a repair shop or creative studio. Network changes can produce matching adapters from an office or server room. Storage upgrades may leave RAID controllers, cables and complete servers together. In each case, an inventory based on the card’s job is easier to understand than a single box labeled “computer scrap.”

We offer electronics recycling and IT asset disposition for complete equipment retirements as well as component sales. Include motherboards, processors, memory and remaining systems in the same inquiry so we can plan the collection together.

PLAN STORAGE AND DATA HANDLING

Keep SSDs, hard drives and other storage devices separate from ordinary expansion cards in your inventory. Some storage products are built on add-in cards, and similar connectors do not make them the same material. If the retirement includes business or personal data, we offer data wiping and physical data destruction. Tell us what needs to be retained, wiped or destroyed before pickup.

GET A QUOTE FOR YOUR CARD LOT

Send an overview photo, close-ups of the main card types and a count or estimated weight. Include model information where available, the condition of the cards and your California city. For larger lots, describe the containers and loading access so pickup planning starts with the right information.

ADD-IN CARDS WITH EDGE CONTACTS

  • PCIe graphics cards with fans
  • Ethernet network interface cards
  • SAS and SATA storage adapters
  • Older PCI sound cards
  • Video-capture expansion boards
  • Server RAID controller assemblies

QUESTIONS ABOUT GOLD FINGER CARD BUYERS

Do you buy cards with gold edge contacts still attached?

Yes, submit the whole expansion card for review. Include model information and note brackets, coolers or other attached parts. The edge connector is part of the assembly, so cutting it off is unnecessary for the initial inquiry.

Are all gold-finger cards graphics cards?

No. Network, sound, storage and interface adapters can also use edge connectors. Identify the card's function or model when known. Separate unfamiliar cards rather than assigning them to a graphics category because of their contacts.

How should multiple graphics-card models be shown for a quote?

Group matching models and provide their counts, condition and representative photos. Identify missing cooling hardware or visible damage for each group. A mixed card collection should not be represented by a picture of only its best model.

Can short server adapters be sold with full-height expansion cards?

Include both and identify their models and bracket formats. Record whether brackets are present or missing. Keeping these details visible is more useful than sorting solely by physical card length.
